I teach: English and Tagalog

I'm a passionate English teacher dedicated to empowering learners of all ages. My classes are engaging, and understanding English and Tagalog-Filipino. I welcome students from beginner to secondary level and adults, so don't hesitate to reach out – let's learn together!

Storytelling, songs, games, and real-life activities. Visual aids, repetition, positive reinforcement, and cultural context enhance learning. A lesson on greetings, for example, can incorporate flashcards, role-playing, and scenario practice.

While I may not have formal classroom experience yet, I am a newly licensed professional teacher, having passed the board exam in July 2024. This means I have a strong foundation in educational theory and best practices. I am eager to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting and am confident in my ability to learn quickly and adapt to your school's specific needs.

I am equipped with valuable teaching skills, having attended various training and seminars that have honed my understanding of effective pedagogy. I am also a lifelong learner, constantly seeking new ways to improve my teaching practice. Furthermore, I have gained practical experience through my involvement with my sons and relatives' school activities. I have assisted with their learning, helping them with their schoolwork and teaching them new concepts. This experience has provided me with a valuable understanding of how children learn and how to create engaging and effective learning environments.

My content for teaching basic English and Tagalog focuses on building a strong foundation in both languages. For English, I'll cover essential vocabulary, simple grammar, and practical communication skills. In Tagalog, I'll introduce common words and phrases, basic grammar, and cultural elements through language. My goal is to equip students with the skills they need to understand and communicate effectively in both languages.
